When Eden Wells accepts a nursing job at Covington Manor, a secluded mansion deep in the woods, she's looking for a fresh start and some distance from a painful past. Her patient is Victor Covington, the once-powerful head of the family. A rare neurological disease has left him unable to communicate. Eden expects a routine job caring for a bedridden patient. Then, late one night, Victor speaks. What he tells her makes Eden question everything about the family living under the mansion's roof.
